BEHAVIOUR

Good behaviour in schools is central to a good education. Schools need to manage behaviour well so they can provide calm, safe and supportive environments which children and young people want to attend and where they can learn and thrive. Being taught how to behave well and appropriately within the context they’re in is vital for all pupils to succeed personally.’ (DfE: Behaviour in Schools 2024)

The Trust’s ‘Managing and Supporting Positive Relationships and Behaviour’ policy aims to:

  • Create a positive culture that promotes excellent behaviour, ensuring that all pupils have the opportunity to learn in a calm, safe and supportive environment
  • Establish a whole-school approach to maintaining high standards of behaviour that reflect the values of the Trust
  • Outline the expectations of behaviour
  • Provide a consistent approach to behaviour management that is applied equally to all pupils across Aspire Academy Trust (AAT).

PARENTAL COMPLAINTS POLICY
Please ensure you have read the Aspire Parental Complaints Policy carefully.  It outlines clearly the appropriate steps for making a complaint.
SAFEGUARDING
Nansloe Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  This means that we have a Child Protection Policy and procedures in place which we refer to in our policy below.  Parents and carers are welcome to request a hard copy from the school office.

Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a child's welfare.  We will ensure that our concerns about our pupils are discussed with his/her parents/carers first unless we have reason to believe that such a move would be contrary to the child's welfare.

The Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is Head of School Mrs Swiggs and the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) is Mrs Cooper.  The designated person for Children in Care is Mrs Swiggs.
